Fly is the latest release in a series of pieces composed around the modern relationships beginning, middle and increasingly common end. With the first release ‘Charmed’ Com-posed around the beginning phase of a relationship combining the excitement and trepi-dation as the key focus.

Fly encapsulates the ‘honeymoon’ period, where the relationship develops and takes a route in its own snowballing momentum. The repeating triad emphasizes the development of the relationship staying constant throughout the piece only to enter with small changes infrequently.

The main melody relies on the polyrhythmic progression of the main triad and the second to create the outstanding notes. To the side of the piece there is a constant cascading melody played to symbolize the distractions that play a role in every relation-ship. To hold the structure of the piece is the low driving bass chords, the emphasis on the bass and sub tones is linked to the momentum during the honeymoon period.

When played separately, each part is seemingly insignificant and simplistic. It is only when they are all combined that they create complete unity; in the same way that a relationship relies on its key components to work.
